Maryam Nassirzadeh has cultivated a unique and highly influential design aesthetic rooted in her Lower East Side women's clothing store. Through my work creating, producing, and consulting for her newly launched women's clothing and shoe brand, as Creative Director and Production manager, I helped shape the brand from the ground up. With a focus on clean lines, bright and unexpected colors, and powerful female muses, the MNZ vision is setting the bar for cutting edge fashion in New York. By managing the media voice of the brand, I edited and wrote brand interviews, collection overviews, and creative consulted for fashion videos and look books featured on Vogue.com for all seasons from FW14 to FW16. In response to allegations of popular bag designers taking liberal inspiration from Nassir Zadeh's specific design features, I created a press release response to the issue which was referenced in reports in all of the top fashion media outlets including WWD, Vogue.com, Business of Fashion, Yahoo! Fashion, Refinery 29, Racked NY, and various fashion blogs. I created the clean, vibrant and classic voice of MNZ brand that is now used as a benchmark for current international fashion trends.
